நமது தேசியக் கொடி

சந்தக் கவி கேட்டபடி வந்தவருக்கு வழங்கிடவே
இந்தக் கவி செய் முயற்சி இனிதாக, ஒரு கவிதை!
எந்த ஒரு இந்தியனும், இயம்பிட வேண்டும் ; நமது
தந்தையர் பிடித்த கொடி, புகழ் தான் சொலவும் வேண்டும்!"

தாயின் மணிக் கொடி பாரீர்!!

பாரத தேவியின் மணிக் கொடி பாரீர்!!
பக்தி செய்தே அதை வணங்கிட வாரீர்!!
நீரதன் புதல்வர்; இந்நினைவகற்றாதீர்!!
நெஞ்சம் விழைந் து புகழ் நித்தமும் சொல்வீர்!!

சீர்மிகும் சிகப்பு செப்பிடும் உண்மை,
சிறப்பது தரும் (நல்லோர்) பலர் செய்திட்டத் தியாகம்!!
பசுமை நிறம் உணர்த்தும் நல் பல்வகைச் செழுமை!!
பாரெல்லாம் போற்றும் இப்பாரதப் பெருமை!!

வெள்ளை உணர்த்தும் நம் உள்ளத்தின் சிறப்பு!
விழைந்து எவர்க்கும் தீ வினையதும் செய்யோமென:
ஒயுதல் இன்றியிங்கு உயர்வது நாடும்,
உள்ளது தருமமென உணர்த்திடும் சக்கரம்!!

அறிவோம்! தெளிவோம்!! அகமிக மகிழ்ந்து
அன்னியராயினும் அவரும் நண்பரென,
உணர்வோம்!! மகிழ்ந்து உணர்வித்திடுவோம்!!

Indian National Flag

"The Indian national flag represents the hopes and aspirations of the people of India. The significance of the colours and chakara in the national flag was amply described by Dr. S.Radhakrishnan in the constituent Assembly, which unanimously adopted the National Flag. Dr.S.Radhakrishnan explained thus –

"Bhagva or the Saffron colour denotes renunciation of disinteretedness. Our leaders must be indifferent to material gains and dedicate themselves to their work.

The White in the centre is light, the path of truth to guide our conduct .

The Green shows our relation to soil, our relation to the plant life here on which all other life depends.

The Ashoka wheel in the centre of the white is the wheel of law of dharma.Truth or Sathya, dharma or virtue ought to be the controlling principles of those who work under this flag. Again the wheel denotes motion, There is death in stagnation . There is life in movement. India should no more resist change. It must move and go forward. The wheel represents the dynamism of a peaceful change."
